ADMISSIONS

On behalf of all the Palmer Catholic Academy students, families, faculty and staff I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Our Blue Ribbon, A+ Accredited School is available to students on our 2 campuses. Our Preschool on our Parish Campus is available to students ages 6 weeks to 4-years. Our Palm Valley Campus is available to students ages 4-years to 8th Grade. We provide an accelerated, high-school preparatory program providing a “higher-level thinking” curriculum combined with spiritual and character development.  Together with our Middle School Honors program, athletic and fine arts programs, and our faith development, we offer a well rounded education to prepare your child for a successful future. We are proud to be recognized as one of the top schools in the Northeast Florida area.

Throughout the year, we encourage our students, along with their families, to participate in an array of after-school activities, including those serving others in our community development programs. Browse through our website and contact us at anytime with questions or to schedule a tour.

Thank you and have a most Blessed Day!

Mrs. Linda M. Earp, Principal

RISE AND SHINE CLUB

Morning Care for our Students

The Rise and Shine Club provides safe and structured supervision of Palmer students from 7:00 am until the start of the school day. Our staff will provide a safe and happy environment for the children of working parents in our PCA family. Drop off must be between 7:00 am - 7:15 am at the back of the school via the parking lot located on the right side of the building. For late arrivals, past 7:15, you may attempt to drop off at the back door. If there are already cars lined up for carpool, you must remain in the carpool line. You may not create another lane and drop off.

Facilitators will provide a Christ-centered, safe, caring environment to all students while in our care. Emphasis is placed on creating a stimulating and enjoyable environment that encourages socialization and interaction between children of all ages (kindergarten through eighth grade). Qualified facilitators will oversee homework time, snack time, organized activities and free play throughout the afternoon.

To register, please complete the last 2 pages in the handbook and email to palmercatholic@pcapvb.org.

  1. Florida law (Section 1003.21(1)(a)2, Florida Statutes) specifies that children who have attained the age of five years on or before September 1 of the school year are eligible for admission to public kindergarten during that school year based on rules prescribed by the school board. Students are eligible for kindergarten attendance provided they meet the age requirement.

  2. Pre-Kindergarten or VPK must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year.

  3. First Grade must be 6 years of age on or before September 1 and successful completion of Kindergarten.

  4. Students transferring from other schools must have complete and up to date transcripts documenting all school years completed, standardized test results, health records, and, if applicable, IEP documentation, 504 plans and/or educational psychologist reports documentation. If the student was homeschooled, we need documentation that they have successfully completed the prior year and have been promoted to the next grade level.

  5. The Catholic schools in the Diocese of St. Augustine admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities accorded or made available to students at the school. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious affiliation, national or ethnic origin in administration of educational services and policies, and admission policies, etc. Final acceptance for admission and re-admission rests with the principal and the pastor.
