Originating in 2012, Giving Tuesday is one of the world’s largest annual days of philanthropic efforts. It falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, nestled behind Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and marks the beginning of the holiday season as not only a time for purchasing things for those you love, but also for donating to causes important to you and your family. Last year 2.5 million people from 150 countries donated, raising over $300 million dollars
